Hello, world!

My name is Wolfram, and this is the very first post on my blog dedicated to everything Microsoft Windows, IT, and a sprinkling of nerdy delights. I’m excited to share my experiences, tips, and tricks with you, so grab your favorite beverage (coffee for me, please!) and let’s dive in.

A Little About Me

I’m 28 years old, an IT enthusiast, and a graduate of the University of Applied Science, FH Joanneum, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Internet Technologies/Software Design & Cloud Computing. Since 2023, I’ve been working full-time in IT, and boy, has it been an adventure so far! Whether it’s tackling complex technical challenges or learning the quirks of Windows, I’m always eager to get my hands dirty.

At home, my Brother and I have set up a network that’s become my digital playground. Picture this: a NAS humming along, a management server keeping everything in line, and DNS that just works. (Literally always.) It’s my lab, my experiment zone, and yes, occasionally my source of frustration when things don’t go as planned. But hey, that’s IT, right? But until now, even the most complex issue has been solved with a little bit of python & shell-scripting (to automate everything of course…).

My Coding Adventures

When I’m not tinkering with my home network or solving IT puzzles, I’m probably writing PowerShell modules. These scripts are my secret sauce for automating and simplifying the boring, repetitive stuff and bringing a little magic to the Windows world. To make life even easier, I’ve also created a website where I compile handy PowerShell commands for quick copy-paste access. You can find it here: PowerShell CmdLets.
In the future, I plan to update the site, make it more modern, and add a searchable interface—but this will take a bit of time.

I’ll be sharing some of my favorite PowerShell tips and scripts on this blog, so if you’re into automation (and who isn’t?), stay tuned.
